about

With a soft acoustic rift mixed with co-existing soloing guitars, this peaceful tune was the first song for the album back in May 2014 when I had no idea what this collection would be. It was the birth of the concept.

lyrics

Where did you go?
I've been hoping for a stranger to walk through my door
To which do I owe?
For keeping rogue teachers out in the cold
Appraising the nine on the floor
Who would pick up the pieces, oh what a chore

But why did you follow me around

So lay down, oh sweetness
Rest your head from weak bliss
Close your eyes and alleviate this place
Remove your feet and float into space

There's no way, no say, no game

Take this time on your own
A couple don't mean too much in context of mourn
Don't keep it away from the glow
It's better to flush rabbits out than to hold them whole

But nobody followed us around

So lay down, oh sweetness
Rest your head from weak bliss
Close your eyes and alleviate this place
Remove your feet and float into space
